If you are putting a lot of effort into training, don't let your hard work go to waste by not eating properly! Runners have special nutrition needs before, during, and after exercise. Learning what and when you should eat and drink can improve your performance, body weight/composition, and energy profile. Further, appropriate nutrition is integral to the maintenance of good health and fitness for life.

Consultation with a registered dietitian can help runners at all levels understand the role of fluid, carbohydrates, protein, fat, and vitamins in fueling the body. Each athlete is assessed individually regarding typical dietary and supplement intake, training regimen, body composition and health history to see where improvements can be made for ultimate success.
