BRC's Sports Massage Therapists

David O'Connell | Phoebe Larkin | Keith Styles | Courtney Scharnek

Phoebe Larkin, LMT

  • A graduate of Cortiva Institute – Seattle School of Massage Therapy
  • Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association
  • Phoebe draws on many aspects of her training in Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Sports Massage, and Swedish techniques, but her primary focus is fascial work. She also uses posture assessment as a way to both guide her sessions and to help her clients bring more awareness to their bodies.
  • Looking forward, Phoebe hopes to become certified in Craniosacral Therapy and Lymphatic Drainage.

Phoebe sees great value in the relaxing and de-stressing benefits of massage, however her primary focus is treatment work. This involves reducing pain, improving range of motion and flexibility, addressing tension patterns and adhesions, and improving posture. Phoebe uses predominantly fascial release techniques to help facilitate this work. Her intention is to help create more space for muscles and structures to function properly, and subsequently to decrease the chances of injury. She also hopes that through her hands-on work and postural assessment she can help her clients bring a greater awareness to their bodies. She strongly believes that a conscious body is a happier, healthier body.

Phoebe is an avid yoga practitioner and hopes to eventually become certified as a teacher. When she's not in downward dog, she can be found improving her tennis, riding her horses, sailing as much as humanly possible, and generally enjoying the outdoors. Having studied the cello since she was 6 and singing almost as long, she also tries to fill her spare time with music.
