Title: Summer Internship: Marketing/Management assistant

Description: This is a great opportunity for those considering starting and managing their own small business after graduation.  The intern works closely with the BRC owner in matters regarding marketing strategies and implementation, expanding B2B relationships, maintaining close customer relations, and the daily management of a store front venue.  Specific projects for the 2010 intern include:

  • Create and develop company's presence on internet social websites. 
  • Design and manage Summer/Fall marketing initiatives for Yoga, Pilates, Personal Training, and Massage services.
  • Assist in the development of a Marketing Strategy for a nation-wide company expansion.  
  • Plan and assist at info booths at races and events. 

Hours: 20 hours/week

Compensation: unpaid

Duration: 12 weeks, start and end dates are negotiable.

 Title: Physical Therapist

Duties:

  • provide physical therapy services to BRC clients and the general public
  • collaborate with BRC health professionals on a regular basis regarding client health issues and concerns
  • provide gait analysis and shoe recommendations
  • attend races and marketing events when possible

Qualifications:

  • over 5 years experience in a PT/clinical setting
  • runs, either recreationally or competitively
  • degree, license, and certifications are up-to-date

Compensation: based on experience and client load

Title: Endurance Coach

Duties:

  • Coach individual runners who are aiming to improve their performance at distances between 5k and the marathon.  Weekly programs and one-on-one sessions expected.   
  • Assist the center in various administrative and marketing tasks
  • 2-10 hours/week depending on client load

Qualifications: degree in Exercise Science or closely related field, atleast 10 years experience competing at distances from 5k-marathon, atleast 3 years prior experience coaching individuals.

Compensation: based on experience and client load

Title: Sprint Coach

Duties:

  • Coach individual runners who are aiming to improve their performance at distances between 100 and 400 meters, or to improve speed for their respective sport.  Weekly programs and one-on-one sessions expected.   
  • Assist the center in various administrative and marketing tasks
  • 2-10 hours/week depending on client load

Compensation: based on experience and client load

Qualifications: USATF level II (sprints), degree in Exercise Science or closely related field, collegiate experience competing at distances from 100-400 meters, prior experience coaching individuals is a plus.
